Touchstones are physical rocks that were once used to test the purity of precious metals. Once a precious metal was struck against a touchstone, they would leave behind distinctive marks to prove its authenticity. The word touchstone has since come to mean the standard against which things are tested. 

We’ve adopted the name Touchstone because we strive to set the standard in quality, excellence and patient care.
